Our Story
Hi I am Angie, a mum of three. I come from a dance background, and my knees and ankles paid the price for it. Long after I stopped dancing, the chronic pain stayed with me. I tried everything — cushioned soles, supportive insoles, the kind of shoes that looked like they had been engineered to fix exactly this. Nothing worked.
Six years ago, my husband suggested I try barefoot shoes.
After years of thick cushioning and structured support, sliding into something completely flat and flexible felt like there was nothing there at all. My instinct said this could not possibly help.
Within weeks, the pain was gone.
Once I understood what barefoot shoes were doing for my feet — letting them move naturally, strengthening the muscles that conventional shoes had been doing the work for, I started looking at what we were putting on our children's feet and asking the same questions.
We made the switch as a family. Today, we try to be barefoot or in barefoot shoes as much as possible at home and outside. Do my kids own a pair of Crocs? Absolutely — like every other child in Singapore, it was non-negotiable. We do our best, and we do not stress about the rest.
But where we can make the right choice, we do.
